7-12 Is there anyplace I can go to avoid your Spirit? to be out of your sight? If I climb to the sky, you're there! If I go underground, you're there! If I flew on morning's wings to the far western horizon, You'd find me in a minute— you're already there waiting! Then I said to myself, "Oh, he even sees me in the dark! At night I'm immersed in the light!" It's a fact: darkness isn't dark to you; night and day, darkness and light, they're all the same to you.
NOTES: David speaks in these verses and ask us a question, is there any place we can go that God’s Spirit isn’t? In fact he says if you are in a dark place or in light both are not hidden from God because he can see you in either place.
QUESTION: What would you consider a dark place? What do you consider a place of light?
Answer: A dark place can be any place where you are hurt, confused, discouraged, etc. and a place of light can be just the opposite and the meaning is that no matter where you are, God is there and we can be reassured that he is there for us. Our problems or dark places are not to great to hide us from the eye of God.
Prayer: Today, God we are thankful to you for seeing us no matter what situations we find ourselves in. You are there with us when we rejoice and you are there when we are sad. Thank you for your presence.
